EVS - An opportunity to Grow!

After the participation of Teatro Metaphora on the PBA - Quality EVS 4 Inclusion, we got richer in knowlege, friends and ideas. The project was shared inside and outside of the organization through organizational meetings and social media. 

As a result of the project, and in partnership with local organizations, several activities took place in order to promote ERASMUS+ opportunities:  

International Youth Day Event: Together with local organizations, the Regional Youth Department organized the celebrations for International Youth Day. President of Teatro Metaphora, José Rodrigues, during the event, shared the experience of the organization regarding International Mobility under Erasmus+, with special focus on the EVS opportunities. The event had the participation of representatives from other regional organizations, ex-participants of the programme and other young people who never had the chance to participate in a mobility project. It was also an opportunity to promote the current EVS opportunities that Metaphora has to offer and explain to the audience, how these mobility opportunities can change the life of young people and promote inclusion.

Regional Meeting of Youth and Student Associations 22^nd/23^rd September 2017: Teatro Metaphora was represented by Lídia Canha in the Regional Meeting of Associations. The event had the participation of young people from different parts of Madeira Island and other NGOs. The objective was to create an open space in which each participant association shared its work with the young people and established new contacts with the purpose of enlarging its number of local volunteers, create new partnerships and provide learning opportunities for them. Lídia focused her presentation on explaining the work of Metaphora in the International field mentioning current European projects and international partners. She presented as well the EVS volunteers that Metaphora has at the current moment and promoted mobility projects as an opportunity for self growth and development, especially for those with fewer opportunities.

We feel honoured to be part of such a wonderful project and lucky to be part of the European community. We are union, peace, love, tolerance and most of all, citizens of the world.
